Star Ornament

I'm in love, love, love with paper medallions and flowers. I made these sweet flowers for a swap at Club CK awhile back.
I figured it must be time to try a holiday medallion. This was so easy to make. (Can you tell I like easy projects?) The star is a chipboard covered in scrapbook paper. I lightly sanded the edges for the vintage/distressed look and added distress ink. The medallion is made from copied sheet music. I made the musical note from glitter sticks (pipe cleaners). The "Dear Santa" chipboard is from K&Company.

I am sharing this ornament with Under The Table and Dreaming with Stephanie Lynn. However, this single star may end up a banner in the near future. It's just too cute to be all alone.

As always, check the Link Party tab to see who I link up with. There are tons of great ideas on the link parties.

House Shaped Frames

Oh what fun!

I found these frames at The Dollar Tree! They were already painted, all I had to do was embellish. Talk about easy peasy. For the red frame I hand ruffled the ribbon and glued it on. The chipboard is glued onto a black felt rosette that I made.

The black from has a sweet ribbon tied around it. I learned how to tie the perfect bow on YouTube! Check it out here. Instead of using this one as a picture frame, I thought it would be cute to add scrapbook paper and a cute little saying. Again, I used paper from My Minds Eye and the acetate "Oh What Fun!" is from K&Company. The flowers were hand rolled using felt and fleece.

Heavenly Peace Wooden Plaque

Here is another plaque I made. I love doing these little plaques. They are so easy and cute. I use a small plaque from Michael's or Hobby Lobby. I paint, distress, add some Ralph Lauren Glaze, then add my papers. This time I used glitter paper from My Minds Eye and an acetate print from K&Company. I also did a rosette ribbon flower. I love it. If you don't have time to make your own, I have one for sale in my Etsy shop. TFL! I'm linking up w/ The Shabby Nest and the following blogs:

Joy Banner

I am getting ready for a Holiday Home Shopping event. We blog readers know that banners are all the rage right now! Right? Right! Here is my take on it. It's simple felt snowflakes covered in paper cut by my trusty cricut.

This little cutie pie and can be found in my Etsy store if you're not feeling crafty enough to create your own.

Give Thanks Wall Decor

I made this simple wooden wall hanging or doorknob hanger over the weekend. It's so simple, wooden square covered in Modge Podge and My Minds Eye scrapbook paper. I then used my Cricut Expression to cut the "Give Thanks" phrase and bird with swirl. You could easily make your own or check my Etsy shop for this one.
